Our Camp and Host
Our desert luxury astro camp is owned and managed by Mr. Hamid, a local geologist and astronomer with over fifteen years of experience. He has assisted international universities’ geological and planetary departments with their field collection tours to Morocco. Now, he is eager to share his extensive knowledge with our guests. Mr. Hamid’s expertise extends beyond geology and astronomy to include the rich cultural heritage and astronomical mythology of the nomadic Northwest African tribes. His passion for these subjects brings a unique educational dimension to your stay.
Astronomy and Sky Observation
One of the highlights of our camp is the opportunity to engage in sky lectures and observe the celestial wonders through a 400mm telescope. Under Mr. Hamid’s guidance, you can explore the night sky, learn about constellations, planets, and the fascinating stories behind them. This stargazing experience is both educational and mesmerizing, offering a rare chance to connect with the cosmos from one of the clearest skies in the world.
