ITINERARY of the 8 Days Agadir to Merzouga Desert Astro Tour & Mountains
Day 1 : Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Zagora
After being picked up at the hotel in Agadir, we travel toward Taroudant known as the little Marrakech before continuing through Taliouine famous for saffron production. Crossing Anti Atlas landscapes and Berber villages, we arrive to Zagora in the evening.
After dinner, first astronomy observation session under the desert sky using binoculars and telescope. Night in hotel.
Day 2 : Zagora – Draa Valley – Alnif
During the day we explore the Draa Valley with its palm groves and ksars. Continue through desert landscapes toward Alnif, known for its black stony desert and clear skies.
After dinner, astronomy presentation regarding Sahara constellations, Berber sky navigation, and observation of planets and galaxies. Night in half-board hotel.
Day 3 : Alnif – Rissani – Merzouga Erg Chebbi
We leave Alnif and continue toward Rissani and Merzouga. Visit fossil areas and discover mineral workshops before arriving near the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
Camel ride experience before sunset and night in desert camp. Astronomy session after dinner with telescope and laser-guided sky observation.
Day 4 : Erg Chebbi desert exploration
After sunrise, we explore the surroundings of Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit nomadic families, old mines, desert oasis, and the village of Khamlia where we enjoy Gnaoua music.

Day 5 : Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
In the morning we leave Merzouga toward Tinghir and Todra Gorges. Walk inside the canyon and continue through the Dades Valley with panoramic stops along the road.
Night in traditional hotel in Dades Valley.
Day 6 : Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate
Travel through Rose Valley and Skoura oasis toward Ouarzazate known as Moroccan Hollywood. Visit kasbahs and desert landscapes along the road.
After dinner, astronomy observation session depending on weather conditions. Night in hotel.
Day 7 : Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Visit the UNESCO ksar of Ait Ben Haddou before crossing the High Atlas Mountains toward Marrakech with panoramic stops.
Arrival to Marrakech in the evening. Night in riad.
Day 8 : Marrakech sightseeing
